McCain has been dying to attack Russia his whole life.
Media Matters takes on the swift-boat dick.
Seems Media Matters needs a whole site just to deal with Corsi's book.
There are several sites that have been launched to deal with the smears.
Obama's Fight the Smears site.
John Kerry's fighting back site (four years late.)
DNC's preemptive strike against McCain's VPs.
It seems the troops like Obama a bit more than McCain. 6 times as much.

Hey, how do I make half of it after the "read more" thing?
McCain scares the crap out of me.
He is just itchin' to have all of the military and its weapons at his disposal.

From what I can see, when you get to the posting screen, you have two sentences there. The first is the front page, and the second is the read more page. I think you select the first sentence and start typing what you want on the front page. Then select the second sentence and type over it for whatever you want on the second page.
That it, idio?
Thom Hartmann had an interesting theory today on his talk show. He finds it interesting that Karl Rove was on a trip to the Baltic region one month before the shit hit the fan between Georgia and Russia. Did Rove say anything to get Georgia to make movements to piss off Russia? Instigate an invasion? Which might help McLame in his run for the Presidency?
It was a double post sorry.

McCain had something to do with it, too. digby's been talking about it this week. So, shit & fan meet, Bush is off to China, Obama, Hawaii, and McCain's out in front saying "we're all Georgian, now," and Bush and Obama kinda nod, cos they don't seem to know what's going on. Now, McCain has dispatched Graham and Lieberman to Georgia. Who's the presumptuous one, again?
McRube isn't smart enough, but it's his lobbyist buddies and turdblossom's specialty!
Thanks for the heads up on Digby... lately I don't have enough hours in the day to read everybody.
Anjha & coyote - You have it right. Put your lede in the section before (span class="fullpost") & Put the rest of your post before (/span). (I had to replace the brackets with parenthesis so you could see them).
Conspiracy my ass - it's a simple matter that we have had 50 years of Opportunistic Politics (at least). Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine is simply the modern application and definition.
McCain's finally gotten lucky in his timing, and for once his campaign or his mouth hasn't fucked up. Sending his co-senators off a political 'fact-finding' junket masquerading as a diplomatic mission is pretty damn Presidential. 'Cause it's not presumptive WYAR - When You're A Republican.
Anyone remember Sorkin's line? "You've just seen me do the least presidential thing I do."
McCain's finally gotten lucky in his timing, and for once his campaign or his mouth hasn't fucked up.
Yeah, that's what burns me the most. So the best way to approach this would be to point out how he was instrumental in giving Georgia the impression that we had their back in the first place. It had to be a solo effort with Bush safely ensconced in a stadium seat with Kissinger snoozing behind him and Condi out buying shoes somewhere. Unless they just yawned at him and said "go ahead, run with it," while packing their bags for elsewhere. Still, as decisive as he seemed to look, it appears he chose the wrong side in this one, right?
It seems the whole thing is a set-up.
However, I do not think that McCain looked "presidential" - I think he looked like the hot head that he is. I think that a lot of people looked up and said 'uh oh, if he gets close to the button...'
Thanks Id & Coyote, I will try that next time.
I had to apologize to emal, tho I don't think he will read it.
I need to count to 10 more often before hitting send.
