Where in the world is Idiosynchronic?

(not Id - but thanks to the flickr user whom I'm boosting the photo from)

And I have been nursing a cold at the same damn time. When people ask me in a few years where I was and what I was doing when The Nightmare Ended, I'm going to look as ugly as a Conservative Republican Troll. My memories of this week are going to be horrific things. Blister packs of pseudoephedrine, acetomenophen, cough drops, Muscinex, piles of kleenex, licking my lips and tasting salt all the time, & hot showers with freezing extremities.

When not on the roof with a bricklayer's hammer, a bag of salt, and an oxy-acetylene torch (& a bucket of water), I've been on the sofa with the Mac and TV going, usually playing C-Span and X-Com in DOSBox.

And I thought Obama had risen!

Good to hear your alive, sorry you've been so sick... had to have been the Holidays and relatives... got the better of your immune system. Plus, I heard you guys have been brutalized by the weather... makes me wonder why the hell would someone want to live in Iowa?

Back on track I hope?

Damn Id - sorry to hear about the illness. But isn't couch office grand? I am quite familiar with the 'puter at the couch, the many TV trays holding my piles of work and shit, annoying the hell out of the family because I have set up a whole new world of my own with piles and wires and crap.

A Macbook is probably a lot easier to manuever than my notebook - which would probably be less difficult if I did not have to have all of the accutrements of wireless keyboard and mouse and printer, etc. I really am a pain in the ass.

I am glad that you are finally well enough to post a post and let us know that you are still alive! I was worried and shot an email your direction a week or so ago. Did you get it?

Were you up on the roof de-icing with your miserable cold????? Holy crap. That it impressive!

Tell me, because I am ignorant to what it is to live in the constant snow...with it so deep that you have to climb on the roof with a miserable cold. Why were you up there? Was it to keep the roof from collapsing?

Welcome home Id! You were sorely missed.

I have been watching BSG along with my wife. The depression issue was a bit overplayed in the last episode, although it makes Dualla's actions understandable. (I will so not miss her . . ) I can't see Cally + HotDog. Bwa? Interesting visual play with Bill Adama picking up all the litter lately. And I keep thinking, "WTF hasn't anyone sat on Cottle and forced that man to teach some godsdamn interns?"

I got this cold from work actually, from co-worker whom brought it from his son, whom brought it from daycare . .

I can live with the weather, it's the water leaks into the house that chap my ass. And finding out that the 'new' roof on the parsonage was done substandardly, which is why the ceiling is leaking on the north side this winter, the south side last summer, and the basement anytime liquid hit the soil.

I dunno, it seems pretty realistic, considering all their hopes were put in the Earth basket. I kinda liked Dualla, even though she was too puppydoggish over Apollo.

I can't see Cally + HotDog.

It took me a while, but I figure they had to do it, considering the hybrid from Athena and whatsisname wouldn't be so special if there were another hybrid. Clumsily done, tho.

That stuck in my head, too. It gives a way more effective impression of the "don't care anymore" attitude than the series of depressed people whining about the situation. I loved that scene!

Oh, and I'm all for getting all the people who are too scared to fookin' work with the Cylons off Galactica, and letting them go off on their own. Fuck 'em if principle is more important than survival! Brave new world mofos!

OMG. So you had to climb up on a snowy roof - melt through the snow to get to the leak - and repair it - all in subzero weather and with a terrible cold????? And, it was not even your roof, but the roof of the church?????

WOW. You are one hell of a man!

Well, sick or not, you got to see the 'fat lady sing.' Glad your feeling well enough to at least post. Get well, fully, soon.
