Billmon!

OK, sorry for the hero worship... but Billmon has a post up at Kos! A few days ago I was really thinking about what a loss it was when he stopped posting. Even if it's only one post, it's good enough for me.

Then I read Billmon in the comment section: "Accept no substitutes. Those cheap imitation billmons leave a funny aftertaste."

The media’s moment of disillusionment with John McCain appears to be at hand. Even Joe Klein has finally noticed that McCain’s profile is beginning to resemble the endomorphic shadow of his backstage advisor, Karl Rove, not one of the faces on Mt. Rushmore.

It’s all very predictable – about as predictable as the media’s abrupt discovery in the summer of 2005, as New Orleans sank beneath the waves, that the president of the United States was, gasp!, an incompetent boob.

But anyone who’s studied McCain’s career with any intellectual detachment at all (as opposed to the hagiographic tendencies of his media cheerleading claque) could have told you: The truth about John McCain is that he'll do just about anything and say just about anything to win. He always has. He's just been more clever (and cynical) than most in how he goes about it...

Read the rest... of course you will!

Naw, it's Billmon. He was just making a funny.

If it makes you feel any better just use the link, it will go straight to his article. That way you don't visit the rest.

And as much as I love Billmon, I've read about 15 variations of this exerpt today from the blogs. Does he have a solution? No one else does unless it's "Obama needs to attack!! ARglebargle!"

He covers a more in depth history of what a scummy fuck McLame really is. A history that needs to be repeated daily to all those thinking of voting for the ancient corrupt one.

If only someone on the news stations would talk about McCain's history, but heck no...

I heard Anderson Cooper mention the Keating 5 once. And nothing since.

Cindy is as corrupt, probably worse. Keating and her had a strip mall land deal going at the time of the Keating 5. She learned well from her Dad, Jim Hensley, who once took a rap for the big AZ liquor tycoon Kemper Marley (mobster) way back in the late 40's early 50's. Then Marley supplies Hensley with seed money for the beer distributorship... the rest is history.

Between Billmon, Steve, and a handful of other writers on der Tubes, it's pretty obvious a breakwater in the campaign has been reached. "We've fucking been down this canyon before! Do you NOT remember the inbred banjo-playing hillbillies? The rape? Hiding your friend's body in the river??"

I don't disagree with the above opinion, by the way. But if you consider Gore, Kerry and Obama, as the 3 whom have been swiftboated in the modern era, Obama is by far the least likely to respond based on where he wants to take his campaign.

Nail on the head.
