Wherin My Anxiety Reaches Out And Throttles Me Just For Fun.

We all know who this woman is, of course.

One of the things I haven't let on to you yet is how much Gov. Sarah Palin just creeps me out.

It's not her policies or stands, nor her woefully unprepared skill set. All of those on their own would cause me to loath her politically. But personally I'd wish her no evil.

It's how much she reminds me of my ex. Look, body shape, attitude, mannerisms, & atonal nasal voice. Also the fundamentalist evangelical faith, absolutism (except when it concerns her), and hopping colleges. Throw in a mane of red hair to die for, an unbelievable number of freckles, and you have my ex.

The only thing Palin's short on in my personal ex comparison is a ridiculously short and hot temper. But guess her running mate brings that to the table, huh?

That's why I fear Sarah Palin. Been there, still paying the child support.

Aiggggghhhhhhh! I wanna crawl under a desk and sob. The ex said almost this same exactly thing to me once.
"Andrew, I watch you at these debates with no notes, no papers and yet when asked questions you spout off facts, figures and policies and I'm amazed. But then I look out into the audience and I ask myself, 'Does any of this really matter?' " Palin said.

Oh man Idio, I feel for you... it was me like me hearing the guy say, "Don't taze me Bro!" Yet, he keeps getting zapped over and over... what do you do? Turn off the TV or watch with delight as she goes down in flames?

I'm far more disturbed by a pattern of creepy wanton cruelty that appears to underscore her life and the marked vindictiveness that borders on hysteria in how she handles conflict.

Gramps is a known flailing hothead with poor self control and his running mate seems to have a similar temperament. Oh whee, two mean vindictive hotheads on the ticket.

It is surely comforting to know that this ticket is doomed. Gramps was tossed out by a GOP that is already certain that it has no chance at winning after the W damage.

Damn Chris, it's good to hear from you again.

I want to just say, you were fucking right on about the economy. So prescient of you.

And you are exactly right... she would be a worse pResident than "W"... never thought he could be topped.

Hey, Chris, ditto on the nice to see ya. You were also right about not attacking Iran, though some people just can't seem to let it go.

And yeah, idio, I have the same visceral dislike of Palin, too. She reminds me of every bitch I've worked with who insinuates herself in with the boss by baking cookies, and showing off her kids, and pretending to be an effective worker while doing absolutely nothing substantial. I know this woman, and she couldn't run a laudromat, much less a country.

Classic Coyote!

No doubt about it, the suck up... if not, sucking the boss off to get her career jump started or cause a divorce and marry rich.

Reminds me of my first wife from Panama. Recently found out she left her second husband a couple of years back for a retired Col. who works in MIC (General Dynamics) and owns 2 homes. One in Co. Springs the other in FL.
Who filled me in... her pissed off, whining ex... "She lied to me..." I said, "Welcome to the lied to club."

Lets not dissolve into misogynistic stereotypes when there are so many other REAL reasons why Sarah Palin is unqualified for the postition.

misogynistic stereotypes

Sorry, but there is not a one of us, who are aware, who do not "know this woman."

She really is a piece of work.

What scares me the most is that she is an extremist. There is nothing "gray" in her world and not a single tinge of moderation. Her extremist beliefs and attitudes will be the death of this country.

She uses every "position" of power that she has, or has ever had, as an avenue to take out her own personal vindictiveness and as an avenue to advance her own personal vendettas. She misuses govt agencies and personnel to settle personal and political scores. She is the epitome of "you're either with me or you're against me."

Everything is always about "Sarah" and it is disgusting. She is a narcissist and an ignorant tool who does not care that she is ignorant. She is sly, but not intelligent.

If the "misogynistic stereotype" fits....

(And if I am pressed, I might just tell ya how I really feel.)

Anjha, Conquistador used to have some interesting views on things last year (or 2) at TLC. Tried to start arguments over history and such.

Tried to start arguments

whatever

The whole "that's sexist" crap swirling around Palin pisses me off. There are a whole lot of things that should be said about her whether she has a penis, a vagina or is a eunich. I don't care. Some things are just true because they are true.

Also, a lot of those people screaming sexism, like Rush "feminazi" Limbaugh are just jokes. When it is an excuse rather than a real societal truism it does not help us. A woman who stands against every feminist ideal and fights against everything that we have fought for for generations - all the while benefiting from everything that women have fought for - is a dangerous woman. She sets us back. Period.

It helps that I work nights during the week, when you're most likely see Palin or even the news.

Palin has one thing going for her in my view - she's not outright acting crazy in sight. Unlike Sally Field when she was guest starring on ER.

I'm far more disturbed by a pattern of creepy wanton cruelty that appears to underscore her life and the marked vindictiveness that borders on hysteria in how she handles conflict.

Hey Chris, nice to read you again. I seriously considered adding Palin's anger reputation to the mix, but I couldn't justify it because so much is hearsay - a lot of confirming hearsay, but not enough to surpass my suspicion threshold. And it certainly didn't escape me that the reputation being discussed is one that's commonly used to debase women in personal stereotyping and misogynist attacks.

Which takes me to:
She reminds me of every bitch I've worked with who insinuates herself in with the boss by baking cookies, and showing off her kids, and pretending to be an effective worker while doing absolutely nothing substantial.

That's classic sociopathic behaviour - which we all exhibit by the way, just in lesser degree than a diagnosed case of sociopathy. Which doesn't help my perspective . . having been abused by a sociopath with narcissistic tendencies, you get edgy around some behaviours.

Condi Rice syndrome. Put a woman in a position of power, then undermine her in every way possible. Result: Women are crappy in positions of authority. Twofer one with Condi, huh?

Lets not dissolve into misogynistic stereotypes when there are so many other REAL reasons why Sarah Palin is unqualified for the postition.

No dissolving going on here. We are all aware of Palin's lack of qualifications, so what we're down to is anecdotes. And I swear to FSM, I worked with Palin in a real estate office some years ago. Dressed exactly the same, had a passel of kids, sweet little girls with bows in their hair, that she wielded like a basket of kittens. It totally works, don't fool yourself. She got everything she wanted in life; she thinks bravado equals experience. What's going to cut her down is her inability to properly spout neocon talking points. She's cute as a button, which is what she's going for, and feels no need to present herself as more than that. But I think the voters are less interested in charm this time around.

And it's not misogynistic to recognize a type. And if that type is one that makes others feel less acommodating toward Palin, I'm happy to tag her with it. McCain needs to lose. There's no alternative.

Idio, don't think of Palin as angry. She's snide. She hasn't been able to turn it off, it's in all her interviews and even the AK debate video. That's what I'll be looking for, because I think it's one of the main reasons her negatives have gone up.

Anjha said...

Snide is right. It's that article that I posted way back when from HuffPo.

There is the definate "superior" attitude that she has. She decries the elite all-the-while acting like she is better than us. There is some inside joke that she is a part of...the rest of us are just not cool enough or good enough to be let in.

I cannot stand that kind of arrogance (as opposed to the other kinds of arrogance that I just love.)

OK, I am done for the night. I am tired and cranky.

Could ya tell?
