I have to agree, this great news... regardless of his history. It's feather in the cap of Dems.
And with Obams's support (money) he will be giving us votes.
That's how Washington works.
He'll need a primary challenger to change his mind (again) on EFCA, but that's already in the works.
Ried claims there are a couple of others who may turn.
Although I am sure Specter has his political reasons, it is also true that there is no place left for him in the Party of Wackos.
Sure looks like Lieberman will be delegated to the list of insignificant politicians in the Democratic Party shortly. I'm sure he sees his minimal power disappearing.
