Technical Question

Goddammit.

No matter which site I go to there are friggin' Dino Rossi ads.

Are the ads attached to me? He would not be advertising Nationally. How does this work? It is driving me nuts.

Also, pssst. Today is Primary Day in Washington State. Please vote.

Same here. Privacy's been dead a couple years now, didn't you know?

'tis not the privacy so much as the nightmares of Rossi's grin that the bombardment causes.

So - the ads must be attached to my IP vs putting them up at particular websites? Neat technology but it really pisses me off.

Me, too. But what are we gonna do? We're almost to the Minority Report life. At least Gregoire's got Obama doing ads for her - they're even on the classical music station I've been listening to. Fuck Air America anymore. If Al Franken doesn't beat Coleman, maybe he'll go back to AAR and I'll listen again, but not likely.

Huh. Speaka the debbil. Looks like they gave Rachel Maddow the 9pm slot on MSNBC.

Is that good or bad?

If Dino is truly pissing you off, you can get the Tor web anonymizer (or another paid product) that masks your web location. Instead of getting revolting Dino ads, you'll get revolting Dutch ads for prostitutes or German ads for whatever. Even finding a simple proxy server would make ol' Dino go away.
