4,000 Dead Americans in Iraq!

While most folks went about their daily Easter activities: U.S. death toll in Iraq reaches 4,000.

BAGHDAD - Four U.S. soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb in southern Baghdad late Sunday, raising the death toll for American forces since start of the war to 4,000, according to the Pentagon...

Was this the cause of my nightmares last night?
It's not OK that I was irritable as hell with my family all day and I lashed out at them! Time for me to regroup, apologize and try again for a better day. That's all I can really do when I get into one of these funks!

I guess I'm going to see if I can get some sleep... again! Nightmares really suck... maybe up my dosage.

Sorry you're going through this, SoS. Stupid damn war! I wonder if the tv news understands the significance - or are they going to ignore the 4000 mark. I can't bear to watch...

I'm beginning to see why Blogger's comment system is despised. This thing has ate the comment 4 times.

Oh well. At least, Seven, you can wake up out of the dream and we can effect a different path - eventually - in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I didn't want to use the C or H words. Because some numb nut would fly into a hypocritical fury at pushing someone's campaign meme at the perceived expense of their favored pie maker. On a post completely unrelated to the campaign.

Why yes, I did TLC this morning, why do you ask?

Yeah, I've got to up the dosage for some sleep today. I feel like a zombie... I just hope no emergencies come up. At least the wife is at work and my son will be at school... no one to mistreat until I have time to recover.

Glad you put up the word verification.

Huh, I haven't lost a comment, yet, idio, but I'm sure it'll happen on my next pulitzer worthy bit o' snark.

Prolly now's the time to try to get shuteye, with the fam out. I'm waiting for a new washer to be delivered, so I gotta get dressed and presentable.

As for TLC, my god! Pure insanity!

I'm a sexist, racist, typical white person hypnotized by the mania, not a real Democrat, misogynist who hates democracy and I love pie...

can I post here?

iamcoyote said...

You sure can, Anjha - it's pretty easy, give it a try!

I sent an invite to your gmail account, Anjha, not sure how the signup works, though.

As horrible as the "number mark" is I have a really hard time believing that we did not pass 4k a very long time ago.

Does anyone remember last time Patreaus testified and they were talking about their "new math" and how they were changing the way that they counted attacks, etc...then everyone knows about how you have do be murdered on Iraqi soil, not in the hospital you were transported to, for it to count.

There is a lot of fishy math going on and I suspect that there are a lot more deaths, injuries and attacks than are being reported.

I do not trust the pentagon to tell us the truth. Not at all.

SOS, sorry about your nightmares. No sleep makes for crazy Jack Nicholson The Shining kind of days (at least for me it does). Are you unable to fall asleep or cannot stay asleep due to the nightmares?

I hope you are able to get some rest today.

guess I might want to check my gmail account...

oh and ps: Love the baby chick picture, but I wonder how mean that was to do to them.

Did they just dunk them in the easter egg dye?

There's not much worth reading in the TLC comment threads these days.

I think your comment just about nailed it idio.

Well, holy crap Coyote and everyone, thank you for the invite. Now, SoS' name truly makes sense again.

Good to see you id and dj, it feels like old times.

iamcoyote said...

Woohoo, I see you you Anjha!

I wondered about the dye on those chicks, too, though they seem to not notice. Too busy worrying about their little feets getting stepped on.

I just loved the colors, though.

Woo-Hoo, Anjha jumped in the pool!

Yeah Anjha, this doesn't even account for the suicides stateside. Mostly because the Veterans can't get treatment for their PTSD, or their frustrated with their claim process delays or those who don't want to go back to Iraq for the 3rd or 4th time!

No, it's waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, then really not wanting to go back to sleep...

I try to appeal for unity over at TLC in Steve's thread and some "Anon" asshole blast me for wanting peace.

Let's keep fighting among ourselves! NOT!

You evil peacenick, you!

Yippee! The delivery guys are on their way. Usually, when they give you a time frame, like 8-noon, they show up at noon. Now I'll have a whole day to myself.

Course, I'll be doing laundry, but that's a couple minutes of action and a half hour of sitting around. Though I'm rearranging bedrooms for visitors next week...

And I'm sure the number of US casualties is far higher - Washer's here! Yay!

Cold sweats suck, SoS.

I think. I am guessing they are comparable to night sweats - same thing probably.

It sucks to try and go back to sleep whilst laying in soaking wet bedding. I get ya there.

So sorry.

I usually nap from about 9 am to 11 - on the couch, it seems to help.
