No news on any auto bailout this weekend. I thought Bush would succeed in giving them some TARP money to kick the problem down the road a few months. Now the legality of doing that is being questioned since the car companies aren't "financial institutions."
My thoughts on this one is that we are putting lots of dollars out there, and inflation should be the end result. Bond funds, in my opinion, are very dangerous here and may have seen a blow-off top in recent weeks. Individual bonds with maturity dates better. CDs better. TIPS better. Even money market better.
I hope folks don't get crushed with declining asset prices in bond funds. (like they have with muni funds).
